The small town of Bonassola, wedged between mountains and sea, is situated on the Ligurian coast near Levanto and the Cinque Terre. While many travelers know the five famous towns of the Cinque Terre, Bonassola, just a few miles further north, offers a much mellower vacation alternative.
Bonassola has a long sandy beach and beach resorts where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. The crystal clear blue water invites to swimming and snorkeling.
The center of the tiny town is charming and you can find some nice coffee shops and bars serving delicious Italian ice cream.
You can reach this beautiful bathing resort by train from Levanto (2 minutes). We also recommend the walking trail from Levanto to Bonassola which takes about an hour.
