Cinque Terre offers its visitors a wide range of accommodation solutions.
If you will visit the Cinque Terre during the summer months, from June to September, we highly recommend you to book your accommodation in advance. During low season you can arrive without reservation and contact the Tourist Offices near the train station and ask for accommodation available.
Types of accommodation
Hotels - The majority of hotels in the Cinque Terre are small to medium size. Most of them are 2- or 3-star family-run hotels. There are 4-star hotels in Monterosso and Portovenere. The hotel prices can vary significantly depending on location and season. Please refer to the Hotels in Cinque Terre and Hotels in Monterosso pages.
It's common for a hotel to offer only breakfast; many do not have a restaurant. There are excellent restaurants close at hand. Breakfast is always included, unless the hotel states otherwise. Do bear in mind that the Italian breakfast is not like a full English breakfast, the hotels usually offer a smaller buffet with fruit, cereals, cheese and cold ham.
Bed and Breakfast - accommodation with a small number of rooms. The guests are accommodated in private bedrooms with bathrooms. The typically breakfast in a B&B is coffee (cappuccino) or tea, a cornetto (croissant) and fette biscottate with jam.
Farmhouses - An agriturismo vacation is suitable for the whole family and some places can even be very romantic or luxurious. You can buy products produced on the farm such as eggs, honey, marmalade, cheese, wine and olive oil.

Camping (campeggi) - In the Cinque Terre National Park there are no camping areas but quite a few can be found just to the north in Levanto and Deiva Marina. It's advisable to book in advance when arriving during the summer months (from June to September) since these sites tend to fill up quickly during that period.
