Cinque Terre Italy

The small town of Bonassola, wedged between mountains and sea, is situated on the Ligurian coast near Levanto and the Cinque Terre. While many travelers know the five famous towns of the Cinque Terre, Bonassola, just a few miles further north, offers a much mellower vacation alternative. You can reach this beautiful bathing resort by train from Levanto and Cinque Terre in just a few minutes.

La spiaggia di Bonassola

Bonassola has a long sandy beach and beach resorts where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. The crystal clear blue water invites to swimming and snorkeling. The center of the tiny town is charming and you can find some nice coffee shops and bars serving delicious Italian ice cream.

We recommend the bike and walking path Levanto - Bonassola - Framura, which runs along an old railway line from the late 1800s. The path begins at the beach promenade in Bonassola and runs along the coast through the old railroad tunnels. Some parts of the path are exposed, but much of it is covered. On a hot summer day, the cool air inside the galleries brings a bit of relief from the sun. You can rent bicycles in Bonassola and Levanto.
