Updated on November 2, 2024: The Via dell'Amore will remain closed until Christmas. The situation of the footpath is more serious than expected and it will take longer to reopen the path to the public.

The Via dell'Amore will be temporarily closed from October 28 to November 3 due to a landslide that partially damaged a tunnel.
Maintenance work is scheduled from Monday, October 28.

The famous Via dell’Amore, Lover’s Lane, was reopened for tourists on August 9, 2024. 
During high season the path is open daily from 8.30am to 9.30pm (April 1 to October 31). During the winter the path is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm (November 1 to March 31).
The hike can be done in only one direction; from Riomaggiore to Manarola.
The time slots are being limited to 100 visitors per reservation. During the half-hour tour, visitors will be able to marvel at the gorgeous Ligurian Sea while guides share the story of the Via dell’Amore.

The 2 hiking trails from Monterosso to Vernazzza and from Vernazza to Corniglia were reopened today after completion of the maintenance work of the dry stone walls.
